Dtorque 111 at the SMM in Hamburg
At the SMM – the leading international maritime trade fair which took place from 06 to 09 September – our Dtorque turbo diesel impressed visitors on land and on the water.
The abbreviation SMM stands for “Shipbuilding, Machinery & Marine Technology”. This year again more than 2,100 exhibitors presented the latest developments in the global maritime industry and more than 50,000 visitors from that line of business were drawn to the Hanseatic city by the river Elbe.
The extremely high number of visitors reflect the wide variety of goods and the importance of this trade fair. Leading companies from all over the world meet here and introduce innovations, trends and forward-looking technology. Not only ship builders visit the exposition, but also service providers and important players from all over the value creation chain. Therefore the SMM offers a unique chance to network and compare notes with representatives of the industry, the government, the navy, and the scientific community. That is exactly what we did.
Our booth’s visitors were delighted to have the technical details of our motor explained, which is now close to the start of series production. Furthermore some of them could take a shuttle car by courtesy of “Premium Mobile Kuntz” from Gettorf – taking this opportunity to thank them very much – to the City sports harbour to go aboard. On a Tinn-Silver 530 the passengers were then able to experience the engine smoothness and power of our Dtorque 111 for themselves whilst enjoying the best possible weather and the gorgeous backdrop of the Elbe Philharmonic Concert Hall.
