NEANDER SHARK ON THE WORLD GREATEST WATERSPORT TRADE FAIR: BOOT 2016
The world largest watersport trade fair took place from January 23th to 31th 2016: “boot Düsseldorf“.
1,800 Exhibitors in 17 fair halls presented luxury yachts, diving equipment, surfboards and motors as well as racing boats and collector’s items.
The steadily increasing number of visitors – this year over 247,000 from 52 countries, 2,8 % more than in 2015 – speaks for the excellent atmosphere on all nine days of the fair.
As an exhibitor, we had the chance to wow the visitors with our Dtorque 4-Stroke turbodiesel outboard engine. Boating enthusiasts enjoyed being able to have a look at the innovative dual counter-rotation crankshaft in the open engine. A few testing points, cables and data storage units revealed that it was a test engine currently under validation – on a few “days off” from the testing facility.
The “boot 2016” was also the first major public appearance together with our distribution partner Yanmar on which we presented our turbodiesel outboard engine with dual crankshafts under its commercial name that it will go into series production with: the Dtorque 111 (111 standing for the torque as the determining feature considering the intended use).
We are looking forward to the “Start of Production” at the end of the year as well as to participating in the SMM, the international leading Forum for maritime industry in Hamburg from September 6th to 9th 2016.
